Airport parking: what a week costs, lot by lot

What a week of parking costs at Phoenix Sky Harbor, lot by lot, from the airport's own rate table in November 2026, and the booking, shuttle and taxi rules that change the total.

Park at Phoenix Sky Harbor for a week and the same airport can charge you $70 or $231. In November 2026 the airport's rates page listed drive-up daily maximums of $33 in the Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 garages and $19 in the West Economy Garage and East Economy Garages A and B. The uncovered East Economy lot and the 24th Street Station lot topped out at $16. The West Economy Park & Walk, a seasonal lot, was $10 a day.

Here's a week at those maximums:

  • Terminal 3 or Terminal 4 garage: $231
  • West Economy Garage, or East Economy Garage A or B: $133
  • Uncovered East Economy lot, or 24th Street Station: $112
  • West Economy Park & Walk, when the seasonal lot is open: $70

The garages sit next to the terminals. Every other lot adds a walk or a train ride, and over a week the gap between the garage and the uncovered East Economy lot is $119. Those are drive-up prices. The same page says the best rates are online, so price a reservation for your dates before you settle on a lot.

How the cheaper lots reach the terminals

From East Economy you ride the PHX Sky Train, which is free and runs 24 hours. Shuttles circle the uncovered part of the lot around the clock and drop you at the train station. Between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m., the Sky Train page puts the average wait at 3½ to 7 minutes. From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the line has nightly maintenance, and the airport warns that waits can reach 15 minutes or more. For a 6 a.m. departure, that slow overnight train is part of your drive.

The West Economy lots have no shuttle. The airport puts the walk to Terminal 3 at about 12 minutes from the West Economy Garage and 15 minutes from the Park & Walk. That's an easy stroll with a carry-on and a long one with two checked bags and a car seat. Both lots are on the Terminal 3 side of the airport, so if you're flying from Terminal 4, East Economy and the train make more sense.

Remember the rowAt the East Economy shuttle stops, scan the QR code on the sign and the airport sends you a text or email with where you parked.

Booking ahead: the airport's own rules

Sky Harbor's parking FAQ spells out how its reservations work. You can book as late as two hours before you arrive or as early as six months ahead, and one reservation can cover up to 60 days. Every booking carries a $2 fee that isn't refunded. Cancel up to one hour before your entry time and you get the rest of the money back. Changes are allowed up to that hour too, except on non-flexible rates and bookings paid with points. A reservation holds a space in the lot you picked, not a particular spot.

Arrive more than two hours before your reservation starts and the gate won't open. Come back late on a delayed flight and you can't extend a reservation that's already running: the extra hours are charged at the posted rate when you drive out. Come home early and you can email the parking office for a partial refund, which a staff member reviews. The exit lanes take Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, but not Apple Pay or Samsung Pay.

Not every airport charges to book. Dallas Fort Worth's parking page advertised no booking, change or cancellation fees in November 2026. Its booking form also recommends starting the reservation three or more hours before departure and ending it at least two hours after you land. Copy that buffer at Sky Harbor too, where any time past your booked exit is billed at the posted rate.

Valet, premium spaces and parking points

Valet at Sky Harbor costs $43 a day at the Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 garages, or $301 for a week. It runs around the clock. Spaces are limited, so the FAQ says a reservation is highly recommended, particularly around Thanksgiving and Christmas, and drive-ups get in only when there's room.

Premium Parking sits between the two. It uses the same terminal garages, and the airport says it gives you the closest available access to your gate. The daily maximum is $37, which is $4 more than a standard garage space. You book it like any other reservation but give your license plate, which staff check during lot inspections.

Booking online also earns points. According to the FAQ, opening a reservation account enrolls you in Sky Harbor's free loyalty program, which gave 10 points for every $1 spent on qualifying online bookings in November 2026; the airport notes the rate can change. Points expire 18 months after you earn them, and they're redeemed for whole free days of parking.

Off-airport lots

Off-airport parking providers run courtesy shuttles for their customers, Sky Harbor's ground transportation page says, and a Guest Service Representative at an information counter can tell you how to request one when you land. Before you book a private lot, set its total for your dates, taxes and fees included, against $112, the cost of a week in the airport's own uncovered East Economy lot at $16 a day.

Tall vehicles, electric cars and flat batteries

Check the clearance before you drive a van into a garage. At Sky Harbor the Terminal 3, Terminal 4 and West Economy garages have a 6'10" height limit, while East Economy allows 8'2". Over-height and oversize vehicles go to the uncovered economy areas or the Oversized Vehicle lot east of Terminal 4.

Chargers are thin on the ground in the terminal garages. The availability page lists four units on level 1 of the Terminal 3 garage, two on level 3 and four on level 7, plus two in the Terminal 4 garage on level 4 east. That's 12 units for both garages combined. The 24th Street Station lot lists 20 charging outlets.

If the battery is flat when you return, call Sky Harbor's 24-hour parking line at 602-273-4545. The FAQ says staff will jump-start the car for free, and that the airport doesn't allow commercial tow trucks to tow cars out of its lots. The blue Assistance Call Boxes in the lots and garages reach the same free help for a flat tire or a car you can't find.

Parking, or a cab?

Sky Harbor posts one set of taxi rates for every company at its curbs, the same whatever the number of passengers or bags. In November 2026 that was $7 for the first mile and $2.60 for each mile after, with an $18 minimum. A traffic delay costs $36 an hour on top. A 15-mile ride home from the airport comes to $43.40 before tip.

If the ride to the airport costs about the same, the two rides come to $86.80: $25.20 less than a week in the uncovered East Economy lot ($112) and $144.20 less than a week in a terminal garage ($231). On a three-day trip it flips: three days in East Economy cost $48, about half the two cab fares. The same taxi page sets a flat $20 fare from the airport to downtown Phoenix, inside Roosevelt Street, Lincoln Street, Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street.

Phoenix has a train option too. The free Sky Train runs to the 44th Street station, which connects to Valley Metro Rail toward Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. For shared shuttles and pre-booked cars, see our guide to airport transfers, shuttles and taxis.
